Overview

cPanel is the industry-standard control panel for managing web hosting servers. Upon purchasing a hosting plan with iTec, you receive an automated Welcome Email containing your cPanel login details.

1. Logging in to cPanel

  1. Open your web browser and enter https://yourdomain.com:2083 or https://server.itechost.rw:2083.
  2. Enter the Username and Password from your hosting activation email.
  3. Click Log In to access your main hosting control panel dashboard.

2. Managing Files via File Manager

Click on File Manager under the Files section. All public web files must be placed inside the public_html directory. You can upload HTML/PHP files, create subfolders, and extract .zip archives directly.

3. Creating Professional Business Email Accounts

  1. Navigate to Email Accounts → Create.
  2. Enter your desired email username (e.g. info@yourdomain.com) and a strong password.
  3. Configure your email client (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or Mobile) using these settings:
    • Incoming Server (IMAP): Port 993 (SSL/TLS)
    • Outgoing Server (SMTP): Port 465 (SSL/TLS)

4. Setting Up MySQL Databases

Use MySQL Database Wizard to create databases and user accounts for content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, or custom web apps. Access phpMyAdmin to run SQL scripts or import database dumps.
