Domain Transfer Requirements

  1. Unlock Domain at Current Registrar: Log in to your existing registrar control panel and disable the Registrar/Transfer Lock (Status: clientTransferProhibited).
  2. Obtain the EPP / Auth Code: Request the EPP Code (Transfer Authorization Key) from your current provider.
  3. Initiate Transfer at iTec: Go to /transfer, enter your domain name and EPP code, then click Transfer Domain.
  4. Confirm Authorization Email: Check your Registrant email inbox and click the transfer approval link.

Transfer Timelines

For .rw domains, transfers complete within 24 hours. For global TLDs (.com, .org, .net), ICANN standard transfers take between 5 to 7 days.
