Registering a domain name is the essential first step in building your website or business identity online. With iTec, you can search and secure domains instantly across 200+ top-level extensions (.rw, .com, .ai, .tech, .org, .net, etc.).

Step 1: Search for Your Domain Name

  1. Go to the Domain Search bar on the home page or navigate to /search.
  2. Type in your desired brand name (e.g., mybrand.rw or mybrand.com).
  3. Click Search Domains to check real-time availability across registries.

Step 2: Choose TLD Extension & Registration Period

If your primary choice is available, click Add to Cart. You can choose registration periods ranging from 1 to 10 years. Take advantage of promotional multi-year pricing discounts.

Step 3: Configure Nameservers & WHOIS Privacy

  • WHOIS Privacy Protection: Enable free WHOIS Privacy to mask your personal contact details (Name, Address, Phone) on public ICANN registry lookups.
  • Nameservers: Use default iTec authoritative nameservers (ns1.itechost.rw and ns2.itechost.rw) or specify custom nameservers.

Step 4: Provide Registrant Contact Details

Fill out the Registrant information form. Registry rules (ICANN / RICTA) require valid contact information including Full Name, Organization, Address, Phone, and Email address.

Step 5: Complete Payment & Instant Activation

Select your preferred payment method:

  • Mobile Money: MTN MoMo or Airtel Money
  • Cards: Visa, Mastercard, or Credit/Debit Card
  • Account Wallet: Pre-funded iTec account balance

Upon payment confirmation, your domain delegation completes instantly and your domain will appear under My Domains in your portal.
